The project selection process begins with concept forms, which we accept at any time of the year. We review each one we receive to see how well it matches our strategic priorities, retaining the ones that do while declining the others.
Those we keep go to regular meetings of our internal Allocations Team, whose members either decline requests directly, ask that they be revised or ask for full proposals. For the latter, we are happy then to help applicants prepare this document if needed. There is no guarantee of funding if we ask for a full proposal.
Once the full proposal is complete it goes back to our team for review and a decision on whether or not we will allocate Frederique Constant Foundation (FCF) funds.
We aim to give a first response to project concepts within two-to-three months of submission. Our response to full project proposals should come six weeks after being sent in. While we do our best to meet these targets, there can be some variation in timing due to heavy flow of project submissions or timing of allocation meetings.

Peter Stas (born 1963) is a Dutch entrepreneur and author. In 1988, after he completed his studies in Business Economics at the Erasmus University and worked as Product-Marketing Manager for Royal Philips Electronics, he founded, with his wife Aletta Stas-Bax, the watch company Frédérique Constant. The manufacture’s initial strategy was to focus its energy on classical luxury watches at an affordable price. The Accessible Luxury positioning was the basis of strong growth during the financial crisis when consumers came back more to classical values and accessible prices.
Aletta co-founded and build Frederique Constant, a Swiss luxury watch manufacturer producing 135’000 pieces sold in over 100 countries. She has over 25 years experience in strategy development, design and production. As well as 6 years work experience in Asia while living in Hong Kong. Aletta holds a Master degree in Dutch Law.
