THE WATCHMAKING EXCELLENCE
Fully conceived, developed, produced, assembled, adjusted, and encased in our workshops in Plan-les-Ouates, Geneva, Switzerland, the manufacturing process of the Manufacture collection timepieces requires extensive work. All the details are executed by hand, mostly, for the pure pleasure of the connoisseurs of high-quality watchmaking.
Frederique Constant has been conceiving, developing, and producing its in-house Manufacture Calibers since 2004. The first caliber was the Heart Beat Manufacture, cal. FC-910 with its iconic aperture in the dial and mainplate at 6 o’clock position. Newer versions of the Heart Beat Manufacture included various complications followed. In 2008, the design and development briefing for a second base caliber was very straight forward: redevelop all components and search to reduce cost of manufacturing, while at least maintaining the same high-quality level of the Heart Beat Manufacture calibers.
The Classics Manufacture is equipped with the FC-712 Automatic Manufacture caliber, featuring a date counter at 9 o’clock and a moon phase counter at 3 o’clock. Functions are all adjustable by the crown only. Hours, minutes and central second hand complete these functions. Beating at 4 Hz (28’800 alt/h) with a 38-hour power reserve, the caliber is water resistant up to 5 ATM (50 meters). Through the convex sapphire glass, you will admire the delicate Clous de Paris guilloché.
FC-700 CALIBER SERIES
As a result, in 2009, the FC-700 in-house caliber was born. In line with our Accessible Luxury philosophy, these cost-savings were transferred to the final consumer, by offering these Frederique Constant Manufacture timepieces at unbeatable retail prices.
