RENOWNED PERPETUAL CALENDAR MANUFACTURE CALIBER
Equipped with the FC-775 movement, in-house developed, produced, and assembled, the Slimline Perpetual Calendar Manufacture illustrates the Maison’s watchmaking expertise. Characterised by three counters, day at 9 o’clock, month and leap year at 12 o’clock, date at 3 o’clock, it is completed by a moon phase at 6 o’clock. Discreet controllers make it possible, as with the crown, to adjust all the indications. For optimum legibility, the hand-polished hands and index hour markers are tinged with luminescent material. The FC-775 calibre measures just 6,7mm thick, beats at a frequency of 4 Hz (28’8000 vibrations per hour), has 26 jewels and a 38-hour power reserve. Its perlage and Côtes de Genève can be seen through the sapphire crystal caseback.
EASY TO ADJUST
Inset buttons on both sides of the case are used to easily adjust the calendar mechanism. One button near 5 o’clock advances the moon phase, while another near 8 o’clock is used for the date of the week, and the one button at 10 o’clock advances the day and date simultaneously. When you adjust your perpetual calendar, you need to set the date first and then the day. To finish, the button near 11o’clock displays the month and the leap year at the same time. The hour and minute functions are adjustable through the crown. Once adjusted, this highly sophisticated mechanism will take into account the months with 30 and 31 days, the 28 days of February and also the leap year cycle with the return of 29 February every four years. Normally this watch shouldn’t require any manual correction before 400 years, but as there is an exception in the Gregorian Calendar, the watch will need to be adjusted on March 1st, 2100, which would have been a leap year.
Elegance of the shape, timelessness of the style, harmony of the curves, everything contributes to make each of these timepieces a classic in a modern interpretation. The Slimline Manufacture cases feature a 42mm diameter, available in various material and is water-resistant up to 3 ATM (30 meters). A convex sapphire glass lets you admire the very pure and elegant domed dial. The back of the case is covered with see-through sapphire crystal, allowing you to see firsthand the highly and finely decorated calibre.
The appearance of the moon has not changed since the dawn of time. Yet it continues to inspire the same stirring emotions and passions as when the first men looked to the bright light in the night sky…and wondered. The Slimline Moonphase Manufacture dial presents the date display and moonphase at the 6 o’clock position. An incredible new technology known as “laser ablation” has been used to create an outstandingly detailed and precise image of the moon.
