The elegance of blue, the power of a calibre
When it was launched in 2016, Frederique Constant’s Classic Perpetual Calendar Manufacture was the most affordable perpetual calendar on the watch market. Today, the timepiece raises the bar even higher in terms of quality, component finishing and the technical characteristics of its movement. Its dial now features a colour beloved by collectors: blue on a steel case, available in a 40 mm diameter. The new Classic case houses the new Manufacture FC-776 calibre, the 34th developed in-house by the Geneva-based watchmaker, with a power reserve of three days.
Offering collectors more, without ever losing sight of its roots or history. Frederique Constant, an independent Geneva-based family business since its creation in 1988, has always stood out for its desire to make beautiful Swiss-made watchmaking accessible to as many people as possible.
Now an international group with its own manufacture, the brand has nevertheless remained true to its original vocation, even when it tackled the most coveted complication, the perpetual calendar. According to popular belief, a function displaying the day, month and date while taking leap years into account could only be an unaffordable luxury, but Frederique Constant has proven the opposite, twice. The first time was with the launch of its first perpetual calendar in 2016. Now, the brand has done it again, improving both form and function without making the complication any less affordable.

An Exceptional Complication
This watch is distinguished by its manufacture movement, the FC-776 calibre, a pinnacle of fine watchmaking. This perpetual calendar, which mechanically manages the irregularities of the Gregorian calendar, is one of the most admired complications. Frederique Constant was one of the few manufacturers to master it almost 10 years ago. The movement has been improved, increasing its power reserve from 38 to 72 hours, while remaining affordable. Adjustment is also remarkably simple, with each function (date, day, month, leap year and moon phase) having its own push-button discreetly nestled in the case middle.

The Alliance of Tradition and Modernity
The Classic Perpetual Calendar Manufacture, one of Frederique Constant’s most prominent collections, returns to the forefront with two new variations in steel cases, one of which features a blue dial. This 40 mm model is the perfect example of the brand’s philosophy of accessible luxury. It combines the heritage of fine Geneva watchmaking with 21st-century aesthetics and reliability. Its blue dial, a colour beloved by watch enthusiasts, offers a sophisticated contrast to the shine of its steel case, creating a piece that is both timeless and resolutely modern.

Optimal Readability
The blue dial of this model has been designed for perfect readability. The clear and intuitive layout of the indications is enhanced by a delicate sunburst finish that diffuses light onto the applied hour markers and hand-polished hands. The days, date and month are displayed on three separate counters, complemented by a moon phase gracefully displayed at 6 o’clock. The leap year hand is located at 12 o’clock, coaxial with the month hand. The transparent sapphire crystal case back offers a view of the movement, adding a touch of refinement and allowing the beating heart of this exceptional watch to be admired.
